Perú’s Yanesha Native Community Washed Process Coffee
We’re pleased to offer Yanesha Native Community Washed Process coffee, grown by 17 farmers in Tsachopen - Miraflores, Pasco, Perú. This coffee is a product of traditional farming practices, sustainable methods, and the dedication of smallholder farmers. Sourced through Sunrise Trading, it represents the care and effort put into every step of cultivation and processing.

Tasting Notes
Blonde raisins, orange, and toffee bring a bright sweetness, balanced by hazelnuts, maple honey, and a mild tobacco finish. A smooth body and a subtle herbal note in the finish make this coffee distinctive and well-rounded.

Roasting and Brewing Recommendations
For this coffee, we recommend a City to City+ roast to preserve its natural sweetness and highlight its complex acidity.

Pour-over, French press, and AeroPress are ideal brewing methods to bring out the coffee’s layered flavors. These methods allow the bright citrus notes and warm nutty undertones to shine in different ways.

Sustainable Coffee from the Yanesha Native Community
This microlot is grown at 5,905 feet in the Peruvian highlands, using shade-grown ecological practices that protect the environment and promote biodiversity. The washed process enhances the coffee’s clean profile, emphasizing its vibrant and natural flavors.

Supporting the Yanesha Farmers
The Yanesha Native Community combines traditional agricultural knowledge with sustainable practices to grow high-quality coffee. By working directly with Sunrise Trading, these farmers ensure fair compensation for their efforts and maintain control over their crops.

Why Microlots Matter
Microlots like this one reflect the dedication and attention to detail of smallholder farmers. Each lot offers unique flavors that tell the story of the region and the people who grow it. Choosing microlots supports sustainable farming and ensures the highest quality coffee in every cup.
